Clean, simple, and extensive use of wood are the characteristics of Nordic style. This style has become very popular in the past two years, and can be seen in home environments, offices, and retail spaces. So in your mind, does this style have certain restrictions, for example, only small and fresh places can match this gust of wind? Today, the two design cases we want to share may break your inherent thinking to a certain extent. One of them interprets the Nordic style in a reasonable way with some small surprises, while the other achieves a standard presentation unexpectedly.
Accessories store in Portugal
Spanish architect Bruno Lucas Dias designed the interior space for a local women's accessories boutique. Before, the space where the store was located was dark and shabby. After some renovations, it became bright and clean - white walls and wooden floors with wooden shelves and decorations created a strong Nordic style.

Wood strips are the only decoration in the space. Based on the roof profile of the house, Bruno Lucas Dias used wooden bars to interweave horizontally, vertically and diagonally to create a complex network structure. The wooden strips were also made into house-shaped shelves, once again highlighting the distinctive roof structure of the house in the designer's opinion. Since small rollers are installed under the shelves, the store clerk can arrange the position of the shelves as needed.

In fact, in addition to the visual benefits brought by the Nordic style to the store, this design plan also saves the owner a lot of decoration expenses, which is perfect for start-ups.
Traditional Chinese medicine clinics in Taipei
You read that right, Nordic style has really come to traditional Chinese medicine clinics. The designer Moyadesign hopes to use this contrasting combination to draw more people's attention to the existence of this traditional Chinese medicine clinic.

Whether it is white walls with gray background, light-colored wood cabinets, high chairs with black painted steel pipes and wooden cushions, or white marble seating tables, they are all in standard Nordic style.

As a traditional Chinese medicine clinic, Chinese elements are also essential. Therefore, the Nordic style decoration is balanced with Chinese style carvings and furniture.

The entire design is a surprising combination of Chinese and Western elements, old and new. According to the design agency's suggestions, the entire space hopes to give people a subversive traditional Chinese medicine treatment experience - "the same as going to the mall to pick out clothes."
