Needs&Wants, a Canadian brand that specializes in motorcycle jackets, has become a new online celebrity clothing brand in North America with its highly recognizable products and a well-designed website. This brand, founded in 2013, finally opened its first physical store in Toronto, Canada, after nearly a year of preparation.

However, the store was not opened in a busy business district or a cultural and entertainment center where hipsters gathered. Instead, it was opened in a forest on The Kingsway, a wealthy area of Toronto. And the building of the store is also quite special. It is not a conventional house made of reinforced concrete, nor a cabin that looks more like a forest, but a modified container.

The person responsible for the renovation is Macro Lee, a recent graduate of Ryerson University in Toronto. He is a good friend of brand founder Sean Brown.

Under Lee's transformation, the exterior of the container was painted all white, and the four walls inside were made of wooden strips arranged in different rules. It is simple, clean, and has a bit of North American style. Since the container was originally designed for transportation, it has good sealing performance but poor light transmission and ventilation conditions. Therefore, when the container store is in business, both square sides of the entire container store will be opened. In addition, a large square window is dug out of the box to let in light.

The design of the windows here deserves special mention. The windows are made of mirror glass. From the inside, you can see the scenery outside the window. From the outside, the entire window is a mirror, reflecting the beautiful scenery of the surrounding forest, making the entire container and the surrounding environment cleverly integrated.

According to statistics, this container has received 30-50 customers every day since the store opened. However, this store is more about display than sales. And what is displayed is not only the clothes, but also the aesthetics that the brand wants to convey.

According to the plan, this store will make full use of the flexibility of the containers and travel to more cities including New York in the future. Another container store of the brand designed for the water environment is also being planned.
