On the 14th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea held a briefing for diplomatic envoys from Asian countries stationed in North Korea to report the damage caused by floods in the northern part of North Hamgyong Province and called on all countries to support North Korea's post-disaster reconstruction.

According to the KCNA report on the 14th, envoys from nine Asian countries including Mongolia, Vietnam, and Laos attended the briefing. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea introduced the situation of the disaster areas and called on Asian countries that have long-term friendly and cooperative relations with North Korea to actively assist North Korea in post-disaster reconstruction.

Envoys from various countries expressed deep sympathy for North Korea's natural disasters that resulted in heavy losses of personnel and property, and stated that they would provide emergency humanitarian assistance to their governments as soon as possible.

According to a report from the Korean Central News Agency on the 14th, the North Korean Railways Ministry has given priority to materials transported to disaster areas. On the 13th alone, more than 7,500 tons of cement, steel and other materials were delivered to the disaster area. The Ministry of Railways also flexibly deploys and directs trains in various regions to improve transportation efficiency.

According to incomplete statistics, heavy rains in northern North Korea caused floods, resulting in hundreds of deaths and missing persons, more than 68,000 people homeless, and 29,000 houses damaged.
